Hi Debbie:
I've been checking with Baltimore County and they say yes, you can get a
library card, with no charge, as long as you have a valid driver's license, The
only catch is that you have to sign the application in person at one of the
libraries.
Check out these web sites and you can contact the other counties and
Baltimore City to see if you have to appear in person:
www.sailor.lib.md.us - this is the MD State Library Web Page
www.askusnow.info - this one gives you a live person to ask and is available
in other states, too.
www.bcpl.info - Baltimore County Web Site
Start with sailor and you can go to the others from there.
