Hello List,
Revisiting Brice Clagett's interesting possibility that Samuel Magruder's
wife was Sarah Pottenger, sister of John Pottenger, not Sarah Beall (see
thread below), I looked up John Pottenger's immigration record hoping to
find a Sarah Pottenger:

"Aug 1665 - Walter Carr demands Land for the Transportation of John
Robert, John Read, Henry ...?..., John Broadband, Peter Pokely, and John
Pottinger and David Kelly.
Warrant issued to the Surveyor Generall for three hundred and fifty acres
ut Supra return 18th January next".
Maryland Patents, Warrants & Certificates, v.10:42. LDS film 0013067.

While this record doesn't preclude Sarah being a Pottenger, it appears
she did not arrive with her brother, John. Nor is she listed in Skordas.
I'm anxious to know when Brice Clagett will publish his information as
Sarah Beall/Pottenger/? has been a mystery for some time.
