Dear Norma:
I am interested in an "Elizabeth Mulliken" brn about 1705-1715 (might she
have been a daughter of James jr.) who married Samuel DuVal on May 16, 1732
and lived at "The Grove" in PG County until her death in November 1775.
She would have had about ten children, including my ancestor Samuel jr. b.
July 7, 1740 and died September 1804. Any connections or further data?
Paul DuVal

Offutt

Hi, List,

If anyone wants abstracts to support any of the info below, please let me
know.
All of it is too long to go to the list, but I can post parts of it.

I'm asking for some help in finding some information on the family that
includes
a woman named Mary who was married first to John Demall (d. 1658), second to
James Mullikin (d. 1667), and third to James Williams (d. 1682). James
Williams
married second Grace, who married second Laurence Rowland (d. 1695) and
married
third Christopher Thompson (d. 1733/34).

Mary had children (that I can prove as off-spring):
1) John Demall, Jr.d. 1727, who married Mary d. 1740.
2) James Mullikin, Jr. d. 1718 who married Jane Prather d bef 1710.
3) Elizabeth Mullikin probably married Robert Tyler.
4) Mary Mullikin who married John Pottenger d. 1735
5) James Williams, Jr. d. 1698

I am seeking help in identifying the families mentioned in the estate docs
of
son James Williams, Jr. If you have more on other members of this Williams
family, I would appreciate that info, too.

Does anyone know more about this Chapman family? Prince George's County: In
1698, James Williams, Jr. mentioned his "nephews" John and Benjamin Chapman.
In
John Demall, Jr.'s 1727 inventory, he has NOK James Chapman.

Does anyone know more about this Wallace family? Prince George's County: In
1698, James Williams, Jr. mentions his "nephews" Richard and James Wallace.

Does anyone know more about this Hartup/Hathorp family? Prince George's
County:
In 1698, James Williams, Jr. mentions his "nephew" Richard Hartup.

Concerning, John Demall, Jr.'s wife Mary: she names "cousins Brock and
Edward
Mockbee" in her will. Brock and Edward were the sons of Jane Brock and
Matthew
McBee. In her inventory, NOK included "sister" Mary Offut. I would guess
this is
Mary Brock Offutt, wife of William Offutt, and the sister of Jane, above,
both
daughters of Edward Brock (d. 1714). Mary Demall also named William Smith
her
exec, and left her plantation to Nathan Smith. Does anyone know how she was
related to the Brocks and Smiths? Was she related to John Smith, brother of
Jane
Smith who was the mother of John Bowie?

Bye,
Norma
