HI THERE!
Sorry to bother you. My name is Lindsay Coleman and I am from Canada! I am looking for links to the whereabouts of my ancestors. My great grandfather was
WILLIAM FREDERICK (ST.CLAIR?) MILTON B: 1896
his father, my great, great, grandfather, was
SIDNEY MILTON (AKA JOHN SIDNEY MILTON?) b. approx. 1862
his father, my g-g-g- grandfather was John Milton.
Here is the descendancy

JOHN MILTON b. 1818 (approx.) marries ANN COOK B 1822?
They had
SIDNEY MILTON b. approx 1862(and probably other children)

SIDNEY MILTON married a LINA SCHWAB (SELINA SCHWAB?)
Lina was born in approx.1868 in SWITZERLAND. (I THINK IT IS PROBABLY IN CANTON DE NEUCHATEL, but more specificaly saint Blaise.)

SIDNEY AND LINA'S CHILDREN WERE

Lina Milton (born 1890 approx.)
John Milton
George Milton
William Frederick (st.clair?) milton
and
Albertina Marguerite S. Milton (approx. 1901)

OUR FAMILY RUMOUR SAYS: that Lina and Sidney were killed in a carriage accident sometime shortly after 1901. All the Children were split up around the world never to hear from one another again. We think Lina (the eldest child and daughter,) was sent to live with family in Australia. What family that is we do not know.

My great grandfather-- william frederick st.clair milton was sent to live with his godmother Margaret Parham.

William married a "mildred daisy Bill" and had the following children

MARGARET MILTON (my grandmother)
FRANCES MILTON
and
GEORGE MILTON

We know that JOHN MILTON AND ANNE COOK WERE BORN IN AND AROUND TAUNTON, SOMERSET

We know that John Milton was a bootmaker (as was his supposed brother george,) and that his wife ANNE MILTON nee COOK was a dressmaker

WE know that as of 1881 the family was living in Clifton, BRistol

Clifton Bristol is also where SIDNEY MILTON AND LINA MILTON nee SCHWAB had their children.

(We think that Lina Milton nee SCHWAB also had a previous marriage to a man by the surname of LALONDE.)

A Last point of interest is the name ST.CLAIR (or it could have possibly once been sinclair) We have no idea where this name is form or how it got into the Milton Lineage.

If any of this at all sounds familar please reply to me at:
