I'd be descended from daughter Elizabeth (I think it is) who married Hugh Tingle.

The great room from the Powell House outside of Pocomoke MD was disassembled and is in Winston-Salem at MESDA as the "Pocomoke Room" showing the earliest style of southern decorative arts.

I've tried without much success to track down additional photos beyond the one or two that are in H Chandlee Forman's book -- Forman does supply drawings of some fixtures.

I know to within a few hundred yards where the house was; it stood until the mid-60s. Ironically enough my wife and I bought a house (ca 1820) about a maile and a half from the spot this house stood -- I didn't findthis out until later.
