Linda and all,

The Edwards family listed below are the children of Thomas
and Elizabeth Dent Edwards. The older children were born
in SMC and some of the younger ones were said to be born
in VA.

A complete list of children are Josiah, Elkany, Stourton,
John, Nancy 'Ann' Sharp, Joseph, Henry D., Hezekiah D.,
Rhody Stiles, William and Charles. This list was complied
from Thomas Edwards' probate records. Elizabeth Dent
Edwards died before 2/12/1804 when Thomas married
secondly to Jemmiah Dicken in Washington (now Marion
Co. KY). Thomas Edwards died around 1809 and Henry D.,
Hezekiah D., Rhody, William and Charles being still minors
and were appointed guardians.

This Stourton Edwards was an early schoolteacher in Marion
County, KY and taught some of his siblings. I believe that he
moved away from Marion Co. I have found no sign that Elkany ever
came to Marion Co. and wonder if he may have stayed in MD
or VA. Josiah, Henry D. and John lived out their lives in Marion
Co. Hezekiah D. went to Union Co., KY.
