Jane Edwards, daughter of Stourton Edwards and Jane Hazel decided to make our
lives miserable and marry Jeremiah Edwards (probably a cousin, but I don't know
his parents at this time). They had a son named John Edwards, b. 2/17/1758.
This is not the same John Edwards who had a son John in 1770; but he is the John
Edwards who m. Mary Morgan in 1784.

The John Edwards b. 1770, was the son of John Edwards (d. 1784) and Sarah
Reeves. John Edwards (d. 1784) had been married before he m. Sarah Reeves. His
first wife was Elizabeth Carter. The children you have listed are his from both
marriages; don't know for sure which child belongs to which marriage.

Joseph Burroughs m. Elizabeth Edwards, dau. of Joseph Edwards (d. 5/1746) and his
wife, Mary. She's the one you have administration accounts for. I'd appreciate
it if you would recheck the inventory date though, I think it's wrong. She
didn't die until about 1788 (she and husband Joseph Burroughs died the same
year). Stourton Edwards is her brother. Jonathan is probably a brother too,
although I haven't placed him as such. She had a brother John, perhaps he was
also known as Jonathan.

John Swann Edwards who witnessed the will of John Hebb in 1786 is more than
likely the son of Richard Swann Edwards and Martha Smith. They had a son named
John who was born about that time and they lived in the same area as John Hebb.
