Hi everyone , I am a new member of this list :)

I am researching Richard Lock b. ca 1733 of Berkeley County Virginia. Recent
research leads me to believe my Richard Lock was from St. Mary's County
Maryland and that he maybe the son of a Richard Lock of St. Mary's County ?

Richard Lock b. ca 1733 has had direct contact with Capt. Thomas Rutherford
and family and with Walter Shirley , both of whom I believe are from St.
Mary's Co.

Richard Lock b. ca 1733 was known to have lived in Hanover County Virginia ,
Frederick County Virginia and Berkeley County Virginia ( Actually Frederick
and Berkeley County just changed borders , he didn't really move :)

Berkeley County Virginia , Estate Index & Inventory for Richard Lock b. ca
1733 after his death lists a John Lock in the Estate Index , whom I am
assuming is a Brother to Richard .
( No Will found for Richard Lock 1733 to date )
Richard Lock b. ca 1733 married Mary ( Fitzgerald?)

I searched the past MDSTMARY archives and found that Meverell Lock(e) has
been mentioned several times in the past. Meverell Lock(e)'s descendants were
also living in Berkeley County Virginia at the time my Richard Lock and
family was there. I would assume they might be related in some way but
haven't been able to prove it .

Question : Has anyone seen a Will for a Richard Lock of St. Mary's County MD
1700's ?
I would dearly love to find this Will and get a copy if possible . I would
gladly pay for someone to get me a copy :)

I have yet to find a Lock(e) / Rutherford , or , Lock(e) / Shirley marriage
, but it is apparent the 3 families were close friends at the very least and
it appears they all traveled from Maryland to Virginia together .

The descendants of Richard Lock b. ca 1733 moved and settled in Barren
County Kentucky. I am directly descended from Rev. Jacob Lock , son of
Richard Lock 1733.
