James (not Joseph) Hanson Wathen m. Mary Ann Lowe (dau. of John Baptist Lowe) by
1787. Their son (among 12 other children) was John Francis Wathen, 1806-1869 who
m. Priscilla Ford (1820-1885), 8/25/1840 and they had 11 children.

They apparently lived in the third district of St. Mary's County which would be
the Leonardtown area.
