I have Jeremiah Herbert, b. 1796 in Charles Co. and d. 10/5/1875 at St. Inigoes,
St. Mary's Co. I have 4 marriages for him, but a note that he was married 5
times. He moved to St. Mary's Co. about 1865.

I have the first wife as Harriett, b. 1810 who was listed with him on the 1850
census of Charles Co. Children: Caroline, b. 1830; Martha A. (this must be your
Martha Ann), b. 1833; Jane M., b. 1834 and d. 3/19/1866 at Allen's Fresh, Charles
Co. who m. Richard Payne 4/25/1858; William "Billy", b. 1840, killed during the
Civil War; Robert "Bob", b. 1842, killed during the Civil War; and Anna Lou, no
dates.

The second wife I have as Julianna Sinclair, but I wonder if this wasn't a
married name vs. a maiden name. Julianna was b. 1827 and is probably the Mrs.
Jeremiah Herbert who died 1872 in St. Mary's Co. I have one child by this
marriage: Mary Matilda, b. bef 1864 and d. after 1885 who m. John William
Farrell, son of Leonard A. Farrell and Sarah Ann Simpson of Charles Co. (The
Lloyd Family). Elizabeth F. Sinclair, b. 1854 was living with Jeremiah Herbert
in 1870 as was Charles H. Sinclair, b. 1855. Charles H. Sinclair married first,
Dora L. Good 1/10/1886 and second, Eleanora Herbert 12/18/1888.

The third wife I have as Mary M. Springsteen of Baltimore whom he m. 6/10/1873
(Fresco). No children listed.

The fourth wife was Maria Martha Philomena Smith, widow of John Abell Crane, whom
he m. 2/2/1875 at St. Ignatius RCC, St. Inigoes. No children listed.

You state that he had 15 children and I've only accounted for 7, so can you fill
me in?
