Hi I am not researching Mattingly's but thought I would
mention this ..Have you gone though the book CATHOLICITY IN KENTUCKY? There
is no Robert mentioned but there is a reference to three brothers who moved
there with their large families..Some names are given. Perhaps the names
might mean something to you. There is a Joseph by the way.These families
moved from SMCMD TO HARDIN'S CREEK SETTLEMENT. Also look in Daviess Co.Ky
for them seems a lot of the families went there.(pages 46 and 47 and various
other pages.Catholicity In Ky)
