SHIRCLIFFE Seekers,

A GOLDSBOROUGH / SPINKE question. It regards a bit of information new to me
from Robert W. BARNES' book, "British Roots of Maryland Families."

John SHIRCLIFF (1618-c1662 ) was married to an Anne GOLDSBOROUGH. It was
also reported to he married Anne SPINKE. Barnes states that the Annes are
the same individual, Anne SPINKE, a widow GOLDSBOROUGH. Does anyone know
of this? Who was her GOLDSBOROUGH spouse? [Think I'll post this to the
list!]

If his wife is only Anne SPINKE and she is the mother of his children, this
is important. It would also explain their daughter, Mary's reference to
Uncle Henry SPINKE.

Any comments?
