04. Other Son, possibly John FORD
COMMENT: The fact that there was a son in addition to Robert II is not in doubt. This son certainly inherited the balance of Robert FORD'S land-"LONG IN DISPENCE" and "DOWNHAM." There was a John FORD who made his will in 1764, probated 22 January 1765. This John certainly belongs to this "Other son" branch since he bequeaths land "Long in Dispence" and "Downham." However if this John was born in the 1660s or 1670s as Robert FORD'S other children,, it is not likely that he lived until 1764. Of course, there is always the possibility that he was born much later, possibly son by a second marriage. I think the John who made his Will in 1764 was probably a grandson of Robert I but I could be wrong.
04.01. John FORD, Will dated 1764, probated 22 January 1765.
