I would like the list to know that I am not the list owner. If I were, I would
have taken action on this a long time ago.
I, for one, love this list and I spend an awful lot of my time answering queries
from researchers. I don't do this because I want to feel noble, but because it
is something I truly enjoy. I have spent a good portion of my adult life
researching the people of St. Mary's County. On the other hand, I get a great
deal of information in return. The indepth research of others helps me to
correct errors I may have, etc.
Sometimes, we all either miss something or we misinterpret information that we
find. There are times when you just need to agree to disagree and leave it at
that until additional information becomes available. In this case, I don't know
who is right and who is wrong and at the risk of sounding like Rhett Butler,
frankly, I don't give a damn.
Members of the list, particulary those who don't have a lot of experience, are
becoming afraid to ask a question or post their information for fear of being
subjected to a temper tantrum or being made to feel stupid.
So, I'm now asking in a nice way that adults act as adults and leave the
immaturity to the children.
