I have no Brewer connection, but noted the following query in the Maryland
Genealogical Society Bulletin, Vol. 21, No. 1, Winter 1980:

BREWER, LEWIS. Records in Rockville Court House, Montgomery County, Md.
show a marriage license issued 1 May 1827 for Vinson BREWER and Catherine
LEWIS. (His will is signed Vincent). Their children believed to be Asenath,
Elias, John, Eleanor, Amy, Angelina and Harriet. Who were the parents of
Vincent BREWER and Catherine LEWIS?
