Paul, MLD, etal;

The Will as posted by Paul says: "5thly I give to the heir of my daughter
Elizabeth Hyatt deceased one shilling sterling in full satisfaction of his or
her part of my whole estate.

The Will presumably states that Elizabeth Hyatt is deceased, therefore there
will be no more children by Elizabeth. [If the Will actually makes that
statement.]

The gift of "one shilling" was used by parents to indicate that the specified
child or children had already received their inheritance, or was to receive
only that one shilling. If the parent did not name the child, the child
could then sue for their fair share - according to the number of children.

This statement of Elizabeth's death, to me, further justifies the assumption
that the Clerk, when writing the Will in the Will Book, omitted some lines -
and may further indicate that Msgr HEM has the best available record at this
time.

Nameley that Elizabeth Mattingly, deceased and Susanne Hyatt, heir not yet
born.
