The parents of Mary Florence Casey, born in Nelson county KY, may have been among the Catholic immigrants to KY from MD before 1836. Mary lived briefly at Nazareth Female Academy in Louisville, KY, but academy records provide no names for her parents. Mary is said to have been orphaned "shortly after the family arrived in KY".
