Norma,

The problem is that Grace Hayden and Grace Greenwell were both in
same general area . I'll let Linda Reno decide wether Grace Hayden or
Grace Greenwell married George Thompson, but if it was Grace
Greenwell then it would have been her 4th marriage. After Richard
Shirley.

I will agree that the James Clarke was likely the son of Grace
Greenwell and husband Thomas Clarke, and that Joseph Raley was the
(orphan of Michel Raley (Jr.) but I don't know who the real mother of
Joseph Raley was. I do not believe his real mother was Grace
Greenwell, but she was likely his Step Mother.

Mary Donnelly claims that Grace Greenwell was the real mother, but I
don't know how to prove or disprove this. no 1st wife of Michael
Raley Jr. has been proven to my knowledge. They had strong evidence
to disagree with Grace Greenwell as the wife of George Thompson, but
I can't find those reasons that were given back then, but they should
be in the archives of this list several years ago.

I can't remember when this came up before, but both Thompson and
Hayden researchers concluded that Grace Greenwell, had not married
George Thompson, but to be honest I had made the claim just as
Charley several years ago and was corrected by Linda Reno, all
Thompson researchers and all Hayden Researchers.

Perhaps they can provide their reasons for believing that it was
Grace Hayden who married George Thompson.

I believe at the time there was plenty of other evidence to look at.

Maybe if you can find it we could look at will of Grace Thompson

Grace Thompson her will dated Sept., 1759 Wills Liber TA 1 page 393.

The will of Grace Thompson may provide other evidence.

Both Grace Hayden and Grace Greenwell lived in same area. In the
genearal area of Beverdam Mannor.

Does anyone have that will of Grace Thompson?
