Subject: [MDSTMARY-L] Clarke's Purchase/Clarke's Inheritance
Date: Wed, 5 Dec 2001 11:49:32 -0700
Dear List,
Im posting this because of the constant presence of George Dent in
relation to Parcels of Land called "Clarke's Purchase" and Clarke's
Inheritance.
I really have no proof yet to conclude that John Clarke married Ann
Dent, but there maybe some family relationship, and my best guess is
that Ann ? wife of John Clarke maybe a Dent, or else there is a
family relationship or neighbor relationship.
Maybe George Dent is acting in some professional status such as
realator, but it's worth checking into.

Jerry; the odd thing is George Dent paid for two peices of property.
I am going to send several references and you can tell me what you think
about the differences of reference to Clark.

adjoining to the land he lives on called Clarkes Purchase.
Poss: 100 Thomas Right
Memo: this tract is charged upon the Debt Books, by the name of Wrights
Point_ alias St. Lawremce's Spring.
There can be no doubt that it is the same tract known in Charles County by
the
name of Wrights Point. Signed Oct. 8, 1839- George G. Brown. Reg'r Land
Office S. MD.
It don't know if there was a Ralph Clark or if it is a typo in the book but:
