Subject: [MDSTMARY-L] Thomas Hebden

I have gotten curious about my information on this man. According to the
archives, Linda Reno stated (in 1999) that
1. Joshua and William (Hebden) were both named in their father's (Thomas
Hebden) will in 1647.
2. Catherine, the daughter was named in her father's will in 1647.
3. William Marshall's will also refers to Francis Wine as brother that
states that he (William Marshall) had married Catherine Hebden who had a
sister named Elizabeth Hebden.
I cannot find any document, transcription, abstract or anything else that
supports these three statements. Does anyone know where this information is
recorded?
According to my records, Francis Wine married Elizabeth Holland in England.
She married second between June and Aug 1682, Henry Hawkins and had Hawkins
children, Henry Holland and Ruth. William Marshall married first Catherine
Hebden and second the (Half?) sister of Elizabeth Holland, probably also
named Elizabeth but possibly Mary. Hugh Teares married their sister Ruth
Holland. Another possible sister is June who married Edward Price. Their
father's name was Henry, but his wife's name hadn't been settled upon when I
quit researching and staying abreast of developments. I often dump
information about families that are not relevant to my line, and
unfortunately for me the info about the pre-Maryland Hawkins, Wine, and
Holland families was part of a purge.
This is the abstract I have of the will of William Marshall. It contains no
reference to a sister Elizabeth for Catherine.

This is my abstract of the will of Thomas Hebden, and a copy of pages of the
book from the Archives of Maryland quoting the whole will. Unless I missed
it after reading them all twice, there are no children mentioned in any of
these transcriptions of documents/disputes concerning the estate of Thomas
Hebden. There are also pages with transcripts of the record of the dispute
between Catherine Hebden and the three trustees for Hebden's property, some
with William Marshall acting as her attorney, plus the final settlement of
this estate. Those are all on-line and can be found by searching for Hebden
at the Archives site.
