John Williams and Elizabeth Horn were the parents of Mary Williams, but she did
not marry Henry Williams of Queen Anne Co. She married first, Caleb Abell,
12/29/1763 and secondly, John Sanner after 1776.
John Williams was the son of James Williams who died in Charles County in 1723
and his wife, Elizabeth Tennison (daughter of Justinian Tennison and Elizabeth
Shanks).
Elizabeth Randolph has stated and I agree that James Williams was probably the
brother of Jacob Williams who married Elizabeth Van Swearingen.
As you'll note from the Charles County deeds below, John originally lived in
Charles County but moved to St. Mary's County.
4/6/1730: Deed from John Williams, late of CC but now of SMC, planter; Daniel
Short of CC, planter and Katherine, his wife; and James Williams, of CC, planter
to George Hatton of CC, merchant, pt. of "St. Thomas", 70 ac. Deed ack. by John
Williams; Daniel Short and his wife Katherine; James Williams and his wife,
Elizabeth. (CC Liber M, #2).
8/5/1730: From John Williams, near the City of St. Mary's in SMC, planter to
Justinian Jordan, merchant, 158 ac., pt. of "St. Thomas". (CC Land Rec.).
