Hi, Warren,

I'm replying to Judith's message as I deleted a bunch of messages that were
in a group that contained several messages with virus' attached. Yours
didn't have a virus attached, but it was among them.

This is the way I have things, but keep in mind that I am re-verifying this
family based on the new information that is being generated by this info
exchange. So far, I have only small errors. It's best to take this one bit
of info at a time. This is one confusing family!

This Mary Manning was not the same Mary Greenwell whose married surname was
Manning by virtue of her having married John Manning. This Mary Manning was
the daughter of Cornelius Manning and Jane Ford. Mary Manning married Philip
Greenwell and had one child, Thomas Greenwell, before she died--as I just
confirmed with a query to Linda Reno (grin).

Cornelius (m/2 Jane Ford) was the son of Cornelius Manning and Mary Wiseman.
He was the nephew of the John Manning who married Mary Greenwell, Cornelius
(m/1 Mary Wiseman) and John being brothers, their parents being another John
Manning and Mary Tant/Dant.

Philip Greenwell was the son of Thomas Greenwell and Anastasia Ford. Philip
was a first cousin to the Mary Greenwell who married John Manning. Mary's
father John Greenwell (m Catheirne Wiseman) and Philip's father Thomas
Greenwell (m/2 Anastasia Ford) were brothers, being the sons of James
Greenwell and Grace Taylor.

Jane Ford and Anastasia Ford were sisters being the daughters of John Ford.
As I've said, I have this John Ford as John Ford Jr. married to Frances
Raley and being the son of Robert Ford Jr. and Robert's first unknown wife.
I think Linda Reno and about everyone else has this John Ford as John Ford
Sr. the son of Robert and Lydia Ford Sr.--the John Ford who wrote his will
1764.

To confuse things a bit more: Jane Ford was m/1 to Ignatious Greenwell.
Ignatius was another first cousin to the above Philip and Mary Greenwell. He
was the son of Ignatius Greenwell and Mary Davis. (Mary's father William
Davis is given in Ignatius' will.) And of course, Ignatius (m. Mary Davis)
was another son of James Greenwell and Grace Taylor.
