Did I ever post the excerpts I found in the Archives of Maryland about
Thomas Spinke as the executor of Jane Payne?

This is the reference for most of it, but I will summarize.

Archives of Maryland, Volume 67, Provincial Court Proceedings, 1677/8. Page
154;

"Jane Paine the fifth day of June One thousand six hundred seventy five
departing this life leaveing behinde her a considerable Estate & seven young
Children, & no person desireing Admcon of the same att that tyme,"
Then, Philip Calvert "did imploy the said Alexander (Windsor) in the life
tyme of the said Alexander to looke after the Children of the said Jane, &
them as a Schoole Master to teach, & as farre as in him lay to looke after
the said Estate, & to see that itt was not imbezelled,"
Alexander Windsor was to be paid from Jane's estate. Alexander Windsor died
before Nov 30 1676, and Thomas Spinke was made administrator. Alexander's
widow had to sue Thomas Spinke to get the money Alex was owed from the
estate.

Bye,
Norma
