I have just added the following locater web pages to the SMC Genweb page
(http://www.crpc.rice.edu/CRPC/GT/dawsonm/genealogy/stmarys.htm). These
services have been very helpful in locating particular parcels of land when
the Rent Rolls state " next to the river running into Chaptico Bay"!

1. GeoNames Explorer: This is an easy to use site for finding many places
in St. Mary's County; zooming is fast, available locations listed in
alphabetical order.

2. Maryland Maps: Maryland Department of Planning Mapping sources. Great!
