Hello all:
I found an Isaac S Sanner in Baltimore 1870 census , ward 6 Balt city, a pilot by profession. He is 62, so born Md in 1808. Married to Mary E. age 50, b.Md .Others enumerated: Clara age 16, William, age 11, Basil P. age 26. All born Md.
Perhaps he is the son of the Isaac Betty mentions in the 1794 list of pilots (below) and he may be the one who started the first pilots' school in Md?

In same census, in ward 3, is my Isaac Sanner. Could very well be son of Isaac S. My Isaac had S as a middle initial too.
Sanner, Isaac, age 35, Engineer at Jail, value $1000.00, born Md.
Elenora, age 29, b. MD *CH note-she is called Leonora on a property deed for "Wilna" in Harford County in 1905
Fannie, age 8, at school, b.Md.
Augustus, age 6, (Female is crossed out, m for male added) at school
John, age 4, B.Md
Mary, age 2, B.Md

Thx for your Sanner website at: http://www.deldom.com/bohanan/
Looks like you didn't follow Joseph Sanner's line--am I correct? Perhaps he was the father of the Isaac S, b. 1808, mentioned above?
