Do you know anything about Mary Lancaster's family? My Barnes family lived
around Elizabethtown and the family lore is that they traded books with the
Lincoln kids while they were living in KY.

I also have a Jane Francis or Francis Jane _______ that married William
Coomes; a name I'm sure you are familiar with since he was one of the first
to arrive in Nelson Co., KY. Mrs. Coomes was the first school teacher in KY
and I have a DAR application filed by someone some years ago that says her
name was LANCASTER [no proof attached]. If true, your Mary Lancaster would
be about the right age to be her niece.
