Jerry, etal
I will provide you both suits regarding Thomas Clarke's family and Francis
Clarke's family.
Luke Clarke and his sister, Mary Compton took on William Guibert who married
Julian Mudd, widow of Thomas Clarke and decided to keep all the money himself.
Luke did probably 95% of the leg work and won:
See: Testamentary Proceedings, 1723-26, Box 30, folder 11. Luke and Mary
won.
After Mary 'Rose' Clarke, widow of Francis died in 1739, her estate was
administered by her and Francis,' son, Francis, who also decided to keep the money.
Jane Clarke and Leonard took on Francis, Jr. in Prerogative Court,
Testamentary Proceeding 31, dated 11 Nov 1741, and won. You will find further
accounts.
I may follow up with another reference, but dinner is on the table.
