I've come to think this family research as an act of respect and
remembering. I thought at my SAR induction that my patriot ancestor's name
might not have been spoken for two hundred years. Somehow now his memory
lives. It seems, we on this list, are all cousins of a sort. Marcella
Dawson's efforts are found in so many records of this list her name will
live, as will the memory of her efforts and kindness.

I think I had two brief direct email contacts with her. She seemed straight
forward, but modest to me when I thanked her for some small part of her
work.

Unlike many, she left a lot behind. I pray her reward is ahead, and hope
I'll meet her one day. RIP Cousin Marcella.
