The will and the administration accounts of Elizabeth (Heard) Wiseman names
her daughter, Ann Van Reswick (wife of Thomas Van Reswick, Jr.) and her
grandchildren, Monica and Wilfred Van Reswick. There is no mention of a
granddaughter named Winifred Van Reswick.

Will of Elizabeth Wiseman, SMC 10/25/1762-2/20/1763. Son: John Wiseman,
slaves and if he dies without issue to be divided between the rest of my
children. Daughter: Ann Van Reswick, use of slaves and at her death to two
grandchildren Monica and Wilfred Van Reswick; also 6 pewter plates, etc.
Grandson: Robert Wiseman, son of Richard, slaves. Daughter: Elizabeth
Downie, slaves. Granddaughter: Peggy Leigh, slaves. Children: John and
Richard Wiseman; Mary Leigh; Ann Van Reswick; and Elizabeth Downie. Exec:
Son, Richard. Wit: Mary Keough, Henrietta Heard.

Admin. accts. of Elizabeth Wiseman 10/30/1765; sureties were Jeremiah Rhodes
and Mark Heard; legatees were--John (son), Ann Van Reswick (dau.), Monica
and Wilford Van Reswick (grandchildren), Richard (son), Robert Wiseman
(grandson--son of Richard), Elizabeth Downie (dau.), Peggy Lee
(granddaughter); residue to children: John, Richard, Mary Lee, Ann Van
Reswick, and Elizabeth Downie; Exec., Mr. Richard Wiseman (Skinner).

The will of Ann (Carberry) Van Reswick names her daughter, Winifred Van
Reswick.

Will of Ann Van Reswick, SMC 1/3/1759-3/6/1759. My eight children: John,
Thomas, Elizabeth (Norris), Mary (Shercliffe), Monica (Spink), Ann, Eleanor
and Winifred Van Reswick, 294 lbs., 19 shillings, 6 pence, it being the
balance of my deceased husband's estate. Three youngest daughters (Execs.):
Ann, Eleanor, and Winifred, the remainder of my estate reserving to
themselves three young negroes born since the decease of my husband named
Susanna, Henrietta, and Rodan. Wit: Anthony Roberts, Ignatius Cissell.

Winifred Van Reswick was the daughter of Thomas Van Reswick, Jr. (son of
Thomas Van Reswick, Sr. and Ann Carberry). He married Ann Wiseman, daughter
of Robert Wiseman and Elizabeth Heard. Her siblings are named in her
mother's will in 1759.

You have the correct Nicholas Mills (1735-1785). He married first,
Anastasia Gough between 1755 and 1757. Anastasia died in 1771. He married
second, Winifred Van Reswick (who had been married first to Philip Greenwell
who d. 1774) on 10/15/1775. All of the children of this Nicholas Mills were
by Anastasia Gough--none by Winifred Van Reswick.
