Good News. I found parents of James Howard who married Mary Jackson,
and my John Baptist Howard who married Elizabeth ?


I now know who the parents are of John Baptist Howard who married
Elizabeth ? and his brother James Howard who married Mary Jackson.

Daughter: Ann Billender Daily, a three year old heifer and four sheep
Daughter: Susanna Howard, a three year old heifer and four sheep
Wife: (unnamed), the balance of my whole estate during her widowhood.
If she marries, she is entitled to one third of my estate and no
more. After her death, my estate is to be equally divided among my
four youngest children*, Ann Spalding, Stephen Spalding, Barbara
Spalding and Teresa Spalding.

notice that Susanna Spalding married a ? Howard.

Tenents and Owners of
"Beaverdam Manor" and Surrounding Mannors.


on page she states in page 177,


Gabriel Howard was born in St. Mary's County, Maryland, the son of
Clement Howard and Eleanor ?.
He married Susanna Spalding the daughter of John Baptist Spalding and
Mary Ann _____ Jackson.

Gabriel Howard was deceased by 7/18/1801 when the final distribution
was administered by his widow on 7/18/ 1801, which named his seven
children(BFD JJ & F:197).

Henry Howard
Teresia Howard
Susanna Howard
Henrietta Howard
Gabriel Howard.


So It's already figured out. James Howard who married Mary Jackson
was the son of Gabriel Howard and Susanna Spalding. and so was my
ancestor John Baptist Howard. He got his name John Baptist Howard
from John Baptist Spalding his grandfather.


This of course is not turning out like Anna Hamilton had predicted in
her book the the Genealogy of the Howard's of Daviess County,
Kentucky and their Ancestors. Will have to keep studying Edward
Howard to see how closely he is related, but he was not a brother.

The William Howard who married Ann Clarke is also closely related,
but not his brother.

The book takes line back beyond Gabriel Howard whose parents were
Clement Howard and Eleanor ?

I knew I was getting Close when I saw John Baptist Howard's son Henry
had married a Nancy Spalding son of Stephen Spalding who was the son
of John Baptist Spalding. Then when I saw will of John Baptist
Spalding and saw his daughter Susanna Spalding had married a ?
Howard. I knew I was getting very Close. Did not expect to find
answer in book of Mary Donnelly.


Wow, this went faster than I thought it would.
