William Stevens Howard (b. 11/3/1684 and d. by February 3, 1733/4) was the
son of Edmund Howard and Margaret Dent of Charles Co. He m. first,
Elizabeth ____and second, Sarah Briscoe (dau. of Philip Briscoe and Susanna
Swann), widow of Henry Truman.

Jane Truman, dau. of Sarah Briscoe and Henry Truman, was the first wife of
Barton Smoot, Jr. and the mother of Henry Smoot (named in Sarah's will).
