Luke Mattingly m.ELEANOR Thompson Feb 11, 1772, St. Francis Xavier RCC, St. Mary's County, Maryland.

Three sources state that the name of the bride was ELIZABETH Thompson. Fresco, Beitzell and Barnes. No mention of relationship.
O'Rourke in his Catholic Families of Southern Maryland, p. 34 states her name was ELEANOR Thompson and that they were related in the second degree,

The original marriage record of their son Barton Mattingly who m/2 Elizabeth Cambron at St. Mary of the Barrens, Perry County, Missouri states Barton's father was Luke Mattingly and his mother appears to be Nelly Cambron (spelled, Camberin), however it could be read as Betsy Cambron as it is blotted. This record was obtained by Fr. Blaine Burkey, Archivist of St. Louis University, a Mattingly descendant, and photocopied from the microfilm. The record is in terrible shape and the writing almost impossible to read.

For now I have, Luke Mattingly as the s/o John s/o Cezar, and have constructed the outline below as a theory of his marriages and descendants. Does anybody know who the parents of Elizabeth/Eleanor Thompson might be? Was her maiden name Thompson or Cambron, as Barton Mattingly's marriage record states, or was there a confusion in surnames since Luke Mattingly married Betha, the widow of Thomas Cambron as his third wife? Thanks for any corrections comments or leads you may be able to give me to confirm or refute this theory below.
