I don't know John. I have Mary Howard married to Leonard Johnson before
1770, but I'm not sure they were married as early as 1761. The earliest
child I have for them was born in 1776.

Hi! I have always thought that the Mary Johnson who was little Susanna
Thompson's godmother was probably Mary Howard Johnson, daughter of
Bennett Howard (d. circa 1782) and his wife, Elizabeth _______ (d. circa
1786, as I recall). Am I incorrect there? See ya' John Dobricky

I'm sure you guys already know this, but the McAtees were mostly from
Charles County. I have never been able to identify the parents of the
Susanna Thompson in this baptismal record, but believe that the Patrick
McAtee was the son of Patrick McAtee (d. 1752 in Charles Co.) and wife,
Ann.

Susanna Thompson bapt. 3/5/1761 at St. Joseph's RCC by Rev. Joseph
Mosley.
GP: Patrick Machaty and Mary Johnson.

The admin. accts. of Benjamin McAtee, another son of Patrick (d. 1752)
and wife, Ann:

10/18/1752: Admin. accts. of Benjamin McAtee, Charles Co. Sureties:
Charles Farrell, John Miles. Representatives: accountant and his 9
children (brothers and sisters to deceased): Patrick (of age); Mary (of
age); Elizabeth (of age); Benedicta, Ann, Abednego, Edmund, and Thomas
McAtee.
Adm: Patrick McAtee.

Will of Patrick Maccatee, Charles Co., 3/23/1750-1; 6/12/1756. Wife:
Ann, 65 ac. where my house now stands beginning at a poplar tree of Mr.
Chandler's land to Mattawoman Branch. Son: Edmund. Son: Thomas. Son:
Ebednigo. Exec: Wife. Wit: Daniel McPherson, Edmund Macatee, Thomas
Macatee.

It could be that the Mary Johnson named in this baptismal record was
Mary McAtee, one of the other children of Patrick and Ann.

Any possibility that Eleanor, wife of Leonard Johnson, was the widow of
______McAtee vs. being born one?
