Thanks for the copy of the census with the Clements.
The Clement of Nelson in 1820 looks as if the transcriber had it
correct when she put ? for the age groups 26- 45 and over 45.
Probably cannot make out anything different on the film but shall see
tomorrow. If there is a male in the age group of 26-45 then could
still be Clement son of Leonard Johnson.. b @ 1788 when he appers on
the Nelson Co. tax for the lst time.. has just one tax (himself) no
horse. He is not with Leonard and group but possibly working on
another farm. Or???
As there is also a Clement in Washington Co. in 1809 I doubt that the
same man would have paid a tax twice?
Seems it is about a given that the Clement in Washington was the Clement
who m the Langley. Ah the joy?? of research.
