I do not know who this William Medcalf is with John Redman but suspect that
it is the same as William Madcalf below; there are Redman-Medcalf marriages:

Redman, John, planter,St. Mary's Co.,20th Jan., 1731;
18th Feb., 1731.
To dau. Elizabeth and hrs., lands adj. to plan. of Nicholas Brown; and
personalty.
To sons Jeremiah, Thomas, Daniel, Vincent, daus. Anne Leake, Sarah Robinson
and Elizabeth, personalty (some of which des. as debt due from Peter Peake).
To sons Soloman and John and dau. Frances Fryer, 1s. each.
To grandson John Lake (Leake) and hrs., a piece of land in the pasture.
Exs.: Sons Vincent, Jeremiah and Daniel.
Test: Sons Thomas Howard, William Medcalf, Peter Mugg. 20, 321.

This William Madcalf [Medcalf] is the son of George Medcalf and brother to
John Medcalf who married Mary Smith, who after he died [before 1707] married
John Johnson. John Medcalf died intestate and John Johnson his new wife Mary made
the final accounting on 8 July 1707 of John Medcalf's estate showing that
Mary had remarried.

delivered to four sons as they come to age of 21.

part of her estate to be claimed by ex. as belonging to testator, she having
relinquished her dower rights.

To son James, dau. Anna, sons Joseph, Edward and Clement, each an equal share
of personal estate, small child, to possess their legacies at age of 18.

Ignatius Medcalf, s/o William Medcalf and Susannah Smith, is found on
Nelson County Tithes 1785-1791, Nelson Co., KY along with the Howards and
