John Spalding (d. 1726) of "Calverton Manor," Charles
County, held de jure uxoris; and "Batchellors Rest,"
St Mary's County, granted from his "father" [sic]
Edward Feild; also held other tracts; was almost
certainly a son of the immigrant Thomas Spalding and
his wife Katherine Hall.
