I am researching the Herberts of St. Mary's County. The Slave Statistics of St. Mary's County, Marylan 1864 show several Herberts were owned by John L. Greenwell and emancipated on Nov 1, 1864.

I am interested in any information you would have on any of the Herbert slaves. I am very interested in Thomas Herbert and Joseph Herbert.

Joesph and Heny Herbert are also listed in the 1880 Census in the the Greenweel household as Laborers.

Any inforamtion would be grealty appreciated.
