Here's some additional data for Robert Wimsatt, b. abt 1800, s/o Joseph
Zachariah Wimsatt. It appears his wife, Drucilla, in the 1850 census, was
the widow Robinson. Judith

MD Catholics on the Frontier; pg 443:

"WIMSETT FAMILY: Joseph "Winset" married Mary "Reyley" in Washington Co.,
KY, the
date of their bond being 12 May 1794. Further records in Missouri give his
middle name
as Zachariah. The Wimsatts followed the Rileys to Missouri sometime after
1803, for in
that year Henry and Barbara "Raley" deeded land in Washington Co., KY to
Joseph Z.
Wimsatt. (Deed Bk B, p. 666, Washington Co., KY) Joseph Z. Wimsatt was
listed in the
census of St. Mary's of The Barrens parish in Perry Co., MO in 1823. He
died by 13 April
1829, on which date his estate (# 54) was administered in Perry Co., MO
under the bond of
Robert and James Wimsatt as administrators. The heirs were not named.
However, it can
be assumed that Robert and James were his sons. Robert Wimsatt married
first, Susannah
Howard, and later Drucilla--------, who survived him at the time his will
was admitted to probate
in Perry Co. MO 27 Feb 1854. By his first wife he had several issue:
Susan; Catherine;
Magdaline, wife of John McCauley; Rose Ellen, wife of William Ansch (?);
Joannah, wife of
Hillary Tucker; Louisa, wife of Nicholas Quick Moore; Isabella, wife of
Isadore Tucker; and
Caroline. By Drucilla, he had a daughter, Nancy. Robert Wimsatt owned
six slaves.

James Wimsatt married Eleanor Manning (QV) , believed to be the daughter of
Mark Manning
and Margaret Heard. After her death he married Naomi/Oma (Smith) Fowler,
daughter of
William Smith and Abbey Hill, and widow of Francis R. Cissell and of H.
Fowler. (Note: her
third marriage record, to James Wimsatt, cites her mother's Christian name
as Margaret).
The second Marriage of James Wimsatt occured at Perryville, MO, 16 Sept
1837."
