I do not know too much re the AME church; however, in the 1930's in Southern
Illinois a minister served about 4 churches. The rest of the time, there was
only Sunday School or you could attent the Baptist or Christian Church. I
guess on the 5th Sunday, the cycle got changed and one church had 2 services that
month.
