Linda:
Somewhere I read that Confederate General Bradley T. Johnson was a part of
the Louisa Johnson Adams/Gov. Thomas Johnson family from Calvert County. I
know Gen. Johnson was either from or connected to Frederick, Md.
Do you have an ancestry on him ?
After the War, he was a somewhat regular speaker at the Debating Society in
Leonardtown.
Thanks !
David

Subject: [MDSTMARY-L] Foreign-Born First Ladies

> Had John Kerry been elected President in 2004, Teresa would have become
the 2nd foreign-born First Lady. She was born in the Portuguese colony of
Mozambique in East Africa. With Kerry's defeat, and his probable non-run in
2008, the status of the only "foreign-born" First Lady will remain for the
time being with Louisa Catherine Johnson Adams.
