I need to check on this, but I think that in 1850 Census, James Virgil RANEY, Martin County, IN, Perry Township, has Clement RANEY 19, IN, and Nancy RANEY 17, IN, and James B. RANEY 13, IN. Are these the children of Clement RANEY? Did Clement or his wife die to put them in James Virgil RANEY household?
In the household, there is also Mary RANEY age 80, Ireland, Is this the mother of James Virgil Raney, Mary Joan Sheehan Moore Raney, b about 1770 in Ireland?
