My "brick wall" is EDWARD EVANS who died in Nelson County, KY in 1843. On the 1810 and 1820 Nelson Co., KY Records EDWARD EVANS is listed as a physician. To date I have been unable to connect this Edward Evans to any parent or birth location. By studying those EDWARD EVANS associated with, I hope to learn more about his early history.

It appears EDWARD EVANS had a friendly relationship with the AYDELOTT family who came to Nelson Co., KY from Maryland.

EDWARD EVANS purchased land from JOSHUA AYDELOTT in 1806:

Record: Nelson County, Kentucky General Index (Grantee) to Deeds & Mortgages Volume I 1785-1875
Page Year Name of Grantee Name of Grantor Type Volume # Page
115 1806 EVANS, Edward AYDELOTT, Joshua Deed 8 270

There is also:

Commissioner's deed to Edward Evans on the 1st Nov. 1806 of 200 acres per a suit in Chancery from Joshua Aydelott.

EDWARD EVANS also witnessed the will of GEORGE H. AYDELOTT , the father of the above JOSHUA AYDELOTT, in 1803:

"Nelson County, KY, Wills and Estates, 1785-1807", by Charles M. Franklin
Aydelott, George H.
Dated 12, Sept., 1803
Will Book A p. 742
Recorded 9 April, 1804
Wife Christiana Britingham Aydelott

Son Joshua Aydelott
Dau. Anna Reed
Dau. Elizabeth Bard
Dau. Mary McDowell
Dau. Leah Holland
Exec. Christiana B. Aydelott
Wit. Edward Evans, Cecillius Head and Wm. Head

Thank You for any help you are able to offer me. By tracing his association I hope to finally determine where EDWARD EVANS lived before arriving in Nelson Co., KY.

Mary Beth
