Judah Henning's Will mentions three sons: Bennett, Stephen and Jeremiah Henning. LDS Family Search states that Jeremiah Henning was the father of Stephen Henning whose Christening was: 18 NOV 1798 Saint George Or Poplar Hill Church, William And Mary Parish, Saint Marys, Maryland. This Stephen Henning married Elizabeth Thorne and lived in Washington, DC. Both are buried in Historic Congressional Cemetery there along with a number of descendants in a group of graves purchased by Stephen when Elizabeth died in 1841.
In his later life Stephen lived with his daughter Mary Jane Henning and her husband the Protestant-Methodist Minister Rev. John L. Hayghe. Mary Jane was the Rev. John L.'s second wife, both his wives named Mary Jane. When his son the future Rev. Henry Clay Hayghe joined the Union Army and was stationed near Washington, DC for his basic training, his father John L. sold his land in Harford co., Maryland and moved to Washington, DC. In Washington John L. (then a wodower) married Mary Jane Henning. The Rev. John L. Hayghe rdf born in Fells Point (now part of Baltimore City) to parents John Joseph Hayghe/Huyghe and Anne Hestor. He was my gg grandfather via his first wife Mary Jane Bond(?) with whom he lived first in Baltimore City and then in Harford Co., Maryland. John L. left a Will in Washington, DC in 1895, as did his wife Mary Jane Henning some 20 years later. Both are buried in Historic Congressional Cemetery in one of the plots purchased by Stephen Henning.
Have you any information of Jeremiah and Judah including the ancestors of Judah ??
