Hi List,

A while back, Christmastime, I think, there was some discuission here about
Southern Maryland Stuffed Ham (SMSH) and various church dinners in and
around SMC that feature it. Well, I recalled having som ething like it at a
restaurant years ago - with my mother...maybe Solomon's Island? Can't
recall exactly.

So, my landlord goes to a Supermarket called Nick's inClinton (PG Co.) I was
checking out their online pages and nioticed that they have SMSH! I wasn't
having a crew over for Easter, so I passed for now, but he was having
company (and he is a great cook) so I told him about it.

Well, he made one for Easter - wanted to try it after reading abouit it - he
ended up getting a 25-lb suffed ham...a corned ham stuffed with a
combinnation of cabbage, kale, watercress (I think) and spices, mayb a
little onion....he brought me a plate yesterday afternoon but I was already
stufed from dinner out with my sister's family....so eating it here for
lunch...just AWESOME. He also had asparagus with cranberries and a nut oil
vinagrette and a veg medley with zucchini, corn, onion, bacon and
cheese....ahhh...

Here is Nick's website (click on meats link):

Happy Easter all,
