Thanks for the info - I did already have it all though. I've actually been through the entire graveyard at Our Lady's Church numerous times (lots of family there). I know this baby was buried there - my aunt (this baby's older sister) remembers him being buried there - and remembers his little coffin on the kitchen table too. After an extensive conversation with her, she did think my 1939 birth year was wrong and thinks it was more like 1942 or 1943. I have one more direct relative (who may remember) to check with - which I will do this June when I head back there. I've tried going to the church office but the older records are kept at St Aloysious but even though I've gone there personally, the person wasn't too keen on looking that up (at the time) and said she'd get back to me. 10 months later (and several contacts to check progress) have yielded no response. I'm headed there in June too. Perhaps they'll let me look through dusty old books.

And just a side note on the "Some Johnson's of Southern Maryland" book... I personally don't give it a lot of weight because many of the people directly connected to me (aunts/uncles/1st cousins) had a lot of their birthdates and even # of children/names wrong. And since most of these people were still alive for me to confirm the info with... you see what I mean. I wish she had included references/sources for each individual/family group. I DO find it a good starting point... and then I find additional sources.

Cynthia
