I understand what you're going through trying to locate/verify the burial. I have full grown adults in my family where records show they're buried in a certain cemetary but no one can find the grave.

With the 1942/43 date revision I went back to the Maryland State Archives website Vital Records page and found a possibility in the "card index":

Stone, (No First Name Given) died Sept. 6, 1942
White / Less than 1 year old. St. Mary's County

There may be a death certificate on microfilm at the Archives.
