Hello:
I just had to write as I am trying to do research on my GGGrandmother Margarett Sharkey from Ireland.
She met and married my GGGrandfather Emanuel Sturgis in IL, where they had many children.
If it were not for a bio book on Kane County, IL. We would of never knew how to correctly spell her name. Originally some had it written as Sharkley.
This is very interesting.
Would like to email with you and find out more about the name.
