Best current source is "Burials from Tombstones, Grave Markers, and
Church
Registers of St. Mary's County, Maryland (1634-1994)" by Janet Tice et
al.
published by the St. Mary's County Historical Society [1996]. I believe
it
is still on sale by them.

But, it's already 12 years out of date.

The www.findagrave.com site is limited but free. It's only as good as
its
volunteers. I went over to New St. Aloysius in Leonardtown today since
the
weather was nice & the horrid heat & humidity broke last night, finally.
I
copied about 125 more burials .... people from Russell to Z in the
alphabet
[which were beyond the issue I had of the "Maryland-Delaware
Genealogist"
from what I students did in the 70s] and everyone who died since ca.
1976. I
worked on just one side of the cemetery & started the center portion. I
have
the rest of the center & the entire other side to do.

I'll try getting some of these burials on www.findagrave.com soon.

I've also been adding some at Christ Church, Chaptico [Episcopal] from
my
students lists.

I believe Shelly Johnson has produced an updated cemetery volume
mentioned
on this list not too long ago.

There never is an end to something of this sort.
