A few days ago, Shirley (I think) posted a document including an Alexander Hamilton, attorney, of Prince George County.

Does anyone know if this Hamilton was tied to the Charles County family of Alexander, John, James, Patrick of Portobacco? Looking for birth, christening, land, deed or wills for proof.

Lamar Hamilton (Alexander Hamilton of Spy Park c. 1996) adamently claims NOT.
Donnely and KC booklet (Cherault) ties these with first name associations.

* Special Sources:
The MHSL has a collection of over 230 volumes of church records of
births, baptisms, marriages, burials, and vestry proceedings. Among the
denominations represented are Episcopal, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian,
Quaker, Roman Catholic, Unitarian, Moravian, Reformed, Evangelical, and
Lutheran. There are microfilmed copies of these in the MSA/Hall of Records
in Annapolis, MD.

Church records can also be obtained at the MSA. They rely on church
records for births, deaths and marriages that took place before the
existence of civil records. Before records can be searched, please provide
the name of church or parish, county, full name(s) of the individual(s),
type of record sought and approx. date of record. Not all churches are on
file.

The History Division, M-NCPPC, also has files on county churches.

As far as I know, NO.
The booklet was published for the 1984 Maryland 350th. It might be available
on some tract rack in the back of some Anglican church somewhere in Southern
Maryland, but I haven't seen a copy "out & about" in years.
You might try the St. Mary's County Historical Society to see if they have
any for sale. Sometimes they do have odd booklets still on sale years after
publication; but don't count on it.
