children

So who ever Elizabeth is, she 1st married a Hamilton, and 2nd a Clements.
Was she a Thompson or a Hagan?

Another Possibility is that Samuel Hamilton's mother is married to a
Hamilton and then a Clements. So Samuel Hamilton was born from his mothers
marriage to his Father ? Hamilton, but his sister Caroline was born to same
mother who married 2nd to a Clements.

I believe this is the Able listed in the census below ...and if so, then
Caroline was married to James Shircliff
